Mushtaq Ahmed Selected for Board of Governors of AISS-Lahore

The American International School System (AISS) announced that Mushtaq Ahmed, a Pakistani citizen with over 35 years service in Pakistani law enforcement, was selected to the AISS Board of Governors in Pakistan.

He is the first board member appointed in 2011. “AISS is clearly one of the most innovative educational systems in Pakistan today,” said Mushtaq. “I feel privileged to join the exciting and dynamic team and look forward to working closely with the board during the next phase of AISS’s growth.”

Dr. Munir Kazmir, Founder and CEO, welcomed Mushtaq to the board, “He is a highly-respected citizen of Pakistan who shares in the goals of AISS to help build bridges between our two great nations, Pakistan and the U.S. We welcome Mushtaq’s unique perspective and input.”
Mushtaq Ahmed currently serves as Chairman of the Special Intelligence Agency. He brings with him over 35 years of Police Service in Pakistan: 8 years as Superintendent of Police in Baluchistan, Gujranwala and the Lahore Region of Pakistan; 15 years as Deputy Inspector General of Police in Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sargodha, Multan and Punjab; 9 years as Inspector General of Police in Punjab, and Karachi Sindh, and service as Managing Director of Overseas Pakistani Foundation. He graduated from F.C. College in Lahore, Pakistan.
